What's your idea of church?
Each one of us has in mind a different idea about church. What makes for a positive experience of church? Is church something you attend or something you become a part of? Over the centuries church has been defined in many different ways. However, taking a closer look at the early church that came to life in the book of Acts we are provided with a blueprint and insight into what the church truly ought to be.
When we look at the book of Acts we see a church that didn't just meet together for corporate celebration but met together in homes throughout the community. Acts 2:42 tells us that the church devoted themselves not just to the principles and practices of Christian living, but to fellowship. Literally, they partnered together in life, encouraging and supporting each other, enjoying life together, meeting each others needs, and figuring out life's challenges together.
As a result of this combination of devoting themselves to the teaching of the Apostles, corporate worship and fellowship they developed an unquenchable passion for the Lord that led to more people coming to know the love, power and forgiveness of Jesus.
It's this picture of the church that we desire to pursue. We want to be a people who are radically devoted to Jesus and relentlessly loving one another. We desire to be a people whose hearts burn to share the gospel and see the glory of God transforming human lives. Our Life Groups play an important part in our desire to become the church we read about in the book of Acts.
Are you looking for a place to connect?
If your looking for a place to connect with people, a place where you can be real, a place where you give and receive. Being part of a life group here at Trinity Life Center is the place for you.
Why is a small group the right place for you?
Small groups exist to connect people relationally to a community of believers who are devoted to Jesus and committed to encouraging each other on the path of spiritual maturity. By loving, caring for and serving one another each person commits to grow in Christ and serve the Lord by using the gifts and abilities God has given them to build His Church and reach those who are not yet a part of God's family.
How can I get involved?
The number of groups continues to grow here at TLC. If you are interested in partnering together with people who live in your area, drop a note in the offering bucket, call the church office (543-7000)
